Liverpool could be reportedly set to complete the signing of Chelsea highly rated youngster Isaac Christie-Davies after the midfielder was told his contract won’t be renewed and he is free to leave the club this summer.
The English midfielder looks set to join the Reds on a permanent basis this summer having played twice for the Kopites U-23 side on trial under Neil Critchley.
ESPN understands that the highly rated midfielder was told his contract won’t be renewed at the end of the season and can join any club of his choice in the summer.
Although, Liverpool are favorites to land the youngster in the summer having played for the Reds on trial before, they might have to fend off interest from other clubs who are also keen on signing the midfielder this summer.
The English international joined the Blues U-11 team from Brighton and made his youth team debut as an U-15 in the 2012/13 season and also went ahead to feature in 10 games next term.
Having scored his first goal for the club, his remarkable rise through the ranks continued as he featured regularly for the U-18, U-19 and U-21 levels after putting in series of impressive displays winning the FA Youth Cup both in 2015 and 2016, won the UEFA Youth League in 2016 and also represented his country at the Under-17 level.
His most prolific season in the developmental League was under Joe Edwards where he scored twelve goals as he was pulling the strings from the midfield.
The 20-year-old is often regarded as a box-to-box midfielder due to his eye for scoring goals and he is known for his passing, creativity, vision, long shots, versatility and concentration.
Given his age and potential, he will be a fantastic addition to the Reds squad and will bolster Jurgen Klopp’s option in the midfield.
