“Ndidi approached by Liverpool. The player would have agreed. It remains to agree with Leicester, who asks a lot,”

Nigerian defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has been a revelation in the Premier League since joining the Foxes in the winter of 2017 for a reported fee of £17 million having established himself as one of the best anchor man in the division after slotting in seamlessly into the Leicester midfield.

The 21-year-old was brought in from Belgain side Genk to replace French midfielder, N’golo Kante who moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2016 after playing a key role in the Foxes unbelievable title triumph.

Although, he is not expected to come cheap as Leicester as showed with Riyad Mahrez in the winter they can’t be bullied into selling one of their most prized assets.

He is known for his strong tackling abilities, concentration, aerial prowess, long shots, passing, anticipation and calmness with the ball.

Given his age, quality and the massive potential he has displayed since he moved to the Premier League, he will be a quality addition to the Reds squad and could be the perfect partner for Naby Keita in the middle of park as he  completes his switch from RB Leipzig to Liverpool this summer.
